My name is Andrew Martin. I go by Marty and I am a retired hockey player. I spend most of my time between the Director of Strength and Conditioning at a sports school, hockey coach, hockey skills coach, and online training coach. I train and help all types of sport athletes but my specialty is hockey players. I believe in a holistic approach to training. Nutrition, mental, and physical all play a role in developing athletes of all ages so they can excel in their sport and later on in life.
I grew up playing hockey in Brampton, Ontario. Went to school and played hockey for the Umass Lowell River Hawks and played a few years pro hockey before my injuries started to catch up with me. One of the main reason I went down the path of Strength & Conditioning is because of my multiple hernia injuries (4 surgeries total). I became frustrated with training, injury recovery, pre-hab work that I decided to educate myself.
