At Marty Strength Inc., I help beer league hockey players ditch the extra weight, build muscle, and dramatically improve their energy, strength, and performance on the ice. My coaching isn’t about gimmicks or quick fixes—it’s about sustainable strategies that fit into your life as a busy player, coach, or hockey parents.

With over 20 years of experience as a strength and conditioning coach, on-ice skills coach, and performance expert, I’ve developed training and nutrition programs that take hockey players from sluggish and out of shape to lean, powerful, and confident.

I played junior hockey in Ontario before earning a Division 1 scholarship at UMass Lowell, where I served as a three-year captain. After graduating, I attended the Detroit Red Wings’ main camp and went on to play professional hockey in North America and Europe. When I transitioned from playing to coaching, I worked as a head strength and conditioning coach and on-ice skills coach at Varsity Hockey, helping elite players reach the next level.

Now, I bring that same level of training and expertise to beer leaguers who want to reclaim their fitness, keep up with the pace of the game, and show up strong every shift. My coaching is built on real-world strategies—ones that help you stay consistent, eat better, train smarter, and play your best without overcomplicating the process.
